Fresno City College drew the No. 9 seed in the CCCAA regional playoffs

The Fresno City College men's soccer team is the ninth seed in the California Community College Athletic Association Northern California regional playoffs.

The brackets were announced on Sunday.

The Rams will host No. 24 Contra Costa (7-9-3) at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the first round.

Fresno City finished second in the Central Valley Conference and entered the playoffs with a 10-3-8 record.

The winner between Fresno City and Contra Costa will face No. 8 Merced on Saturday.

The state championships will be held at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo on Dec. 5 and 7.
