The Fresno City College softball team notched its 20th win of the season with an 8–6 victory over Allan Hancock on April 2, keeping its Central Valley Conference title hopes alive.
The Rams built enough cushion to withstand a late push, adding an insurance run at the top of the seventh inning. Allan Hancock responded with two runs in the bottom half, but Fresno City held on to secure the win.
Now 20–12 overall and 10–2 in conference play, the Rams remain in the hunt for a CVC championship. Fresno City will return to conference action with a road doubleheader at Merced on April 7.
To claim the conference title, the Rams will need to win out and get help, as current leader College of the Sequoias would need to drop two games.
