Sara Shein led the charge, and her teammates followed.
Shein scored a game-high 24 points as NorCal's No. 4 seed Fresno City College defeated SoCal's top-seed Mt. San Antonio 77-65 in the quarterfinals of the 2026 CCCAA tournament on Thursday at Porter Fieldhouse.
The Mounties entered the game riding a 22-game winning streak, but the Rams were unfazed from the start.
Fresno City used the streak as motivation and seized control early, building a 29-20 lead with 6:19 remaining in the first half. The Rams later extended their advantage to 42-28 before halftime and maintained control the rest of the way.
Alyssa Kem added 17 points for Fresno City, while Kayla Silva chipped in 10.
As a team, the Rams shot 48.4% from the field and knocked down 10 3-pointers. Shein, Silva, Destiny Edwards and Jaelyn Bourdeau each made two from beyond the arc.
Fresno City will next face MiraCosta in Saturday's semifinal. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m.
The Spartans, SoCal's No. 3 seed, advanced with an 82-59 win over Folsom Lake.
