The Fresno City College volleyball team's remarkable season reached its conclusion at the California Community College Athletic Association state tournament
The Rams fell in a competitive four-set match to Southern California's top-seeded San Diego Mesa College, 25-21, 19-25, 25-19, 26-24 , hosted at Folsom Lake College in Folsom on Friday.
The contest was tightly contested throughout.
In the fourth set, the Rams found themselves down 17-14 but demonstrated resilience and determination by rallying to take a late 24-23 lead.
However, after a timeout by San Diego Mesa, the Olympians responded with a decisive final push, scoring the next three points to secure the set and clinch the match.
Haiden Davis led the Rams with 12 kills, and Kailani Davis had 17 assists, 14 digs and nine kills.
Fresno City concludes its season with a 26-6 record.
